2012 Countdown

27 Feb

Slowly but surely, twenty months prior to another historic election, the political race is feeling the proverbial heat.  Liberty-minded groups and organizations are preaching about the fight we are up against, and correspondingly asking for lots and lots of money.

I have recently had several people approach me with some disdain because of the hunger of these groups to take money but not boots on the ground.  This is a shame, since so many of us have awful cash-flow (thank you non-free-market), but great talent that could be put to work in the name of liberty.  As I have said recently to someone wanting to get more involved with the liberty movement but not with cash, “boots on the ground is actually more important than cash, but it is hard to get leaders of organizations (on the liberty-side) to get this”.  We will keep trying.

On another note, I wish there was more talk about the bastardness (that is a new word) of our two-party system.  Most all of them (them being career politicians) are pretty sucked into the cycle of spending our taxpayer money and attempting to legislate equality (you can’t legislate it – that is what the Constitution is for – equally opportunity, that is).  As a good friend, Bryan Malatesta, who is the chairman of the Constitution Party of Texas said, “The two major political parties have not stopped this onslaught — they have enabled it!!!  While the International Socialists (Democrats) plead for welfare for the poor, their rivals the National Socialists (Republicans) plead for welfare to big business and corporate monopolies and Wall Street.  Using the ‘good cop-bad cop’ routine, they have maneuvered us into an economy that probably cannot recover”.  This is fairly accurate if you look at what really has happened in the past, oh say at least, 50 years – arguably 100.

Solutions?  If a group ignores your plea to help them with some type of talent/initiative other than cash, let me know about it.  We will build the list ourselves of “boots on the ground” willing to stand up for liberty.  Through a truly organic and grass-roots process we will change things.  We may be few, but we are strong, and we will prevail.

Want to get involved in another way versus handing out a donation?  How about spreading news of solutions to liberty?  The Good American Post and NimblePig want YOU.
